Small batch. We keep a few pairs on hand and bring the rest in from the mill in Victoria — allow up to 10 days if your size has just gone.

77% baby alpaca.
More alpaca than any other sock we sell, and no wool in it at all.

No elastic bite.
A Health Sock® top, knitted without tight elastic. It stays up without leaving a ring round your leg.

Drier than merino.
Alpaca takes up around 8% moisture. Sheep's wool takes about 16%. You notice it by mid-afternoon.

Knitted in Australia.
Very few socks still are. This one is — at Heathmont in Victoria, by a mill that has been making socks since 1947.

Not a work sock.
Alpaca is a luxury fibre — superb in a shoe, poor in a steel-cap. Better you hear it from us.

Sizing. Small is a women's size (AU/US 5–7) and has no men's equivalent. Medium is women's 7.5–9 or men's AU 6–7.5. Large is women's 9.5–10.5 or men's AU 8–10.5. Between sizes? Alpaca has plenty of give — take the smaller size for a closer fit.

77% baby alpaca, 20% nylon, 3% elastane. Machine wash cold, lay flat to dry.

Why Alpaca Fleece is a Smart Investment

Insulative

Naturally warmer than wool yet lightweight and breathable, keeping you comfortable across seasons.

Low Lanolin

Alpaca carries very little lanolin, which is the part of sheep's wool a lot of people react to, and at the same micron it sits smoother against the skin.

Dries Faster

Alpaca takes up less moisture than sheep's wool, around 8 percent regain against roughly 16, so it feels less clammy through the day and dries faster afterwards.

Eco-Friendly

Alpaca fiber is an eco-friendly choice. It is a renewable and biodegradable material that requires very little processing to produce.

Built to Last

Designed as "slow fashion" essentials, these pieces resist trends and can last for decades with proper care.
