Natural Brown Alpaca Carded Bump — 200g

Premium Australian alpaca fibre in its most versatile form.

Produced from the fleece of our own Black Regal Alpacas, raised at Mulgoa, NSW. Professionally carded into smooth, lofty bumps and ready for spinning, felting, blending and a wide range of fibre arts.

From a blend of fine brown alpaca fleece ranging from 18 to 24 microns. The natural browns run from warm fawn through to deep chocolate — a depth that cannot be replicated with dyed fibre, and because it is undyed no two bumps match exactly.

Why Alpaca Fleece is a Smart Investment

Insulative

Naturally warm, lightweight and breathable, keeping you comfortable across seasons.

Low Lanolin

Alpaca carries very little lanolin, which is the part of sheep's wool a lot of people react to, and at the same micron it sits smoother against the skin.

Dries Faster

Alpaca takes up less moisture than sheep's wool, around 8 percent regain against roughly 16, so it feels less clammy through the day and dries faster afterwards.

Eco-Friendly

Alpaca fiber is an eco-friendly choice. It is a renewable and biodegradable material that requires very little processing to produce.

Built to Last

Designed as "slow fashion" essentials, these pieces resist trends and can last for decades with proper care.
