This sock is knitted in Small, Medium and Large only - there is no X-Large. Small is a women's size, with no men's equivalent. All figures are shoe sizes, not foot length.

Between sizes? Alpaca has plenty of give. Take the smaller size for a closer fit, the larger one if you wear them inside boots.

No elastic bite.

Knitted without a tight elastic top, so it stays up without leaving a ring round your leg.

Drier than merino.

Alpaca takes up around 8% moisture. Sheep's wool takes about 16%. You notice it by mid-afternoon.

Not a work sock.

Alpaca is a luxury fibre — superb in a shoe, poor in a steel-cap. Better you hear it from us.

Sizing.

Small is a women's size (AU/US 5–7) and has no men's equivalent. Medium is women's 7.5–9 or men's AU 6–7.5. This sock is knitted in Small and Medium only. Between sizes? Alpaca has plenty of give — take the smaller size for a closer fit.

Product details

Small batch. We keep a few pairs on hand and bring the rest in from the mill in Victoria — allow up to 10 days if your size has just gone.

60% alpaca, 20% wool, 17% nylon, 3% lycra. Machine wash cold, lay flat to dry.
